ABOUT
Ciudad Valdeluz.
A real estate utopia designed to house thirty thousand souls in its first phase, dreaming of a target exceeding one hundred thousand in the long term, the mirage city stagnates with only a few thousand inhabitants, who serve as pioneers in a modern nowhere ignored by GPS satellites.
Beyond being a tangible element of the 2008 crisis and the bursting of the Spanish real estate bubble, this city, built in the middle of sunflower fields, raises questions about how we envision our living spaces. It seems to be a container with no regard for its contents, enclosing them within spaces defined by straight lines and perpendiculars, with corners adorned by electronic eyes still in search of an identity.
